Increase the efficiency of your CMM using 5-axis touch-trigger measurement technology.

To shorten measurement times in conventional measurement tasks with touch-trigger probes, it was previously necessary to increase the speed of the CMM axes. However, with the PH20 system’s "Head Touch" method, dynamic CMM errors at high measuring speeds are significantly reduced.

The innovative "Head Touch" method of the PH20 enables measurement points to be captured using probe head movements rather than moving the CMM structure. This allows for faster point acquisition with higher precision and improved repeatability. Additionally, time-consuming head indexing is eliminated thanks to the 5-axis movement. This combination of speed increases typically results in three times higher measurement throughput compared to traditional systems.

Integrated Standard TP20 Probe

The PH20 touch trigger head is combined with the proven TP20 probe modules, which offer a variety of probing forces, directional options, and extensions to meet specific requirements. The removable modules provide effective collision protection and can be automatically exchanged using the TCR20 change system.

Faster Calibration

The calibration process developed for the PH20 touch-trigger head is unique, as it determines both the head orientation and the probe position in a single step.

This enables measurements in any angular position. Additional modules need to touch the calibration sphere only a few times before they are ready for use. (If required, improved measurement accuracy can be achieved by calibrating the probe tip to the feature alignment.)

This significant time saving is particularly beneficial for frequent recalibrations required to meet quality standards or after a probe collision.
