REVO-2 and RSP2 Probe

The REVO-2 system is an advanced solution designed to maximize measurement throughput while maintaining exceptionally high system accuracy.

It is the only scanning system for coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) that synchronizes and utilizes a variety of measurement sensors. These include both 2D and 3D tactile probes, surface roughness sensors, and, more recently, non-contact optical measurement systems that precisely capture workpiece data.

The system's probe head is based on innovative laser measurement and electrical signal transmission technology, enabling extremely precise workpiece measurement at very high data capture rates. Through its 5-axis control system, disruptive dynamic errors typically associated with machine movements are eliminated. The probe head performs most of the measurement tasks and is significantly lighter and more dynamic than traditional coordinate measuring machines. This allows it to adapt quickly to changes in workpiece geometry without introducing unwanted errors due to dynamic effects.

RSP2 Probe for REVO

The RSP2 is a flexible probe designed for both 2D scanning (X, Y) and touch-trigger 3D measurements (X, Y, Z). It features a universal probe housing to which various RSH probe holders of different lengths can be mounted, with a minimum reach of 175 mm* and a maximum reach of 500 mm*.

The RSP2 utilizes Renishaw’s specially developed tip-sensing probe technology, optimized for high-precision and fast scanning. Due to its low probing forces, stylus wear is minimized. To ensure the best possible measurement accuracy, the UCCserver software controls the probe types used with the RSP2.

The number following RSH indicates the length from the rotation center of the probe head to the center of the stylus ball when using a 10 mm stylus.
